All in all, it was quite a successful weekend for Rams athletics! With both basketball teams, the football team, and the volleyball team all playing important games over the weekend, three out of the four of them walked away with wins.  The CSU men’s basketball squad got things started on Friday night at Moby Arena with a decisive 85-55 win over the Montatna Grizzlies in their first game of the season.  Saturday saw the Rams football team keeping their bowl aspirations alive at Hughes Stadium by defeating the New Mexico Lobos 20-6, while the women’s basketball team lost a hard-fought road game in their season opener at Wichita State, 76-69 in overtime.  The volleyball team capped off the weekend by sweeping the UNLV Rebels out of Moby Arena with an impressive 3-set win.
