Danielle Ate The Sandwich
From her beautiful voice to her endearing lyrics, it’s no surprise that this CSU grad is becoming a shining star in Colorado’s music scene. Recently voted best singer-songwriter in Fort Collins by the Fort Collins Music Association, Anderson has also been recieved well by bloggers and press alike, including a guest appearance on Fox 31’s “Everyday With Libby & Natalie”. Nothing to this point, however, could compare to what awaits her on in just four days, when Danielle Anderson performs at one of the largest music festivals in Colorado, The Monolith Music Festival at Red Rocks.
How did it come to this? Danielle originally grew up in Nebraska where she started playing music at an early age, learning to play the piano, violin, and the clarinet before even reaching middle school. Eventually ending up in CO, Anderson studied at CSU while keeping her passion for music.
Danielle’s iconic sound and image comes from her instrument of choice, her ukulele. Although she doesn’t want to be known as “the girl who plays the ukulele,” she claims that it gets the sound and soul she is looking to create in her music.
Danielle success is not only due to her music but how she self promotes her self on the Internet. Anderson has found her niche on YouTube where her most popular song, “Conversations with Dead People”, has received over 244,000 hits within the last two years while many others including “On the Planet Earth” and her cover of “Rich Girl” are steadily receiving hundreds of hits a day.
All in All, This is one artist that you cannot miss. Danielle’s music and comedic stage performance together brings in a unique experiance in her live shows.
